A stepwise process that examines practices according to specific assessment criteria. A result is often the inclusion or exclusion of the practice in the programme registry or the classification of the practice. The assessment process is either executed before or after the practice has been integrated into the registry. The general aim behind the assessment is to ensure the implementation of practices that work.
